Michael Waters is a UK-based songwriter whose songs are proving globally popular. These songs were performed by other artists, but those released in June and July showcase Michael’s own voice. Both La La Love Song and Requiem for Earth had massive chart success, spending many weeks in the Top 20 of the World Indie Music Chart. La La Love Song triumphed at number 1.
Both songs have also garnered fabulous reviews; his latest release, We’re Much Better People Now, is doing likewise.
Michael records in both the UK and the USA, often alongside world-class musicians.
Apart from writing the lyrics and music to great songs, his other distinction is a surprisingly small interest in personal fame. His motto says it plainly: “Songs come first” — before his own fame, and before the fame of those performing them.

La La Love Song topped the World Indie Music Top 100 in the chart dated 31 August, with Requiem for Earth at 18. As of 14 th September, the songs are at 2 and 15 respectively in the World Chart and at 7 and 18 in the Euro Indie Music Chart.
